Durban (also known as Durban Poison) is a Pure Sativa strain, originating from Durban, South Africa. It has a very unique and unforgettable fruity smell, which makes you want to smell the buds again and again and again and again... As you can see from the macro photos below, the surface of the buds are covered by trichomes and will make your hands sticky very quickly. Durban is one of my favorite strains and I decided to try it from C.R.A.F.T. Later, the phone operator and the delivery guy told me "nice pick"and asked me if I saw a blog post about durban from the SF Gate's Cannabis blog: Smell the Truth. I didn't even know they had a Cannabis blog. But anyway, the buds that were delivered look and smell Dank! Every potheads gonna post a review if they try it and have a blog.

According to Bay Area local paper, SF Gate's cannabis blog,  this strain has 1.6% of THCV which is very high and prevent from getting "too high":

"THCV is a rare cannabinoid found in varieties indigenous to central Africa, and is being researched as a treatment for metabolic disorders including diabetes, as well as serving as a potential appetite suppressant. THCV blocks the effects of THC, preventing that feeling of being “too high” – which can cause anxiety and paranoia. It’s also an anti-oxidant, anti-epileptic, and bone stimulant which researchers think could delay the disease progression Parkinson’s, as well as treat chronic liver diseases."

As you exhale the smoke, the fruity flavor will spread around your mouth and nose. Very pleasant and mostly smooth on your throat. The high will hit you quickly as you exhale, and it is a very clear high. It wont make you sleepy, which means this strain is suitable for day time use. The high also last pretty long. However, it is a rather productive high, despite its 24.5% THC content.
